Internships
UrbanPromise Honduras offers a summer internship for young adults who desire to work with children and youth, want to experience the Honduran culture and are willing to be challenged and stretched in all areas of life. Summer Internships last six weeks during the months of July and August. The internship has three main components:
1. Supervising our Bilingual Camps
2. Menternship (mentoring a local english-speaking youth), and
3. Community Living
Interns will be involved in leading and running a high energy, exciting, fun-filled summer camp for children alongside a Camp Director and local Youth Leaders. Interns encounter God in a way that most of them have never encountered Him before. The intern group becomes a family and everyone journeys back home with new seeds planted in their hearts. Putting an experience like an intentional, community style internship into words is difficult. The interns are stretched, pushed out of their comfort zones and get to a deep level of vulnerability with one another within a few short weeks. It's not just about "missions". It's about living, loving and serving together.
