Service Learning Groups

A great way to get involved with UrbanPromise Honduras is to come as a group from a church, school, business or even as a family. Come for a week and assist us in running our programs and experience Honduran culture. Opportunities are available throughout the year for those looking for a working vacation or a spring break trip.

The focus for these trips is two-fold:

1. Service- We believe that in humbling ourselves and loving “the least of these” we love God too. This means feeling stretched, out of your comfort zone and depending on God.

2. Learning- This simply means throwing out one’s desire to be right and coming with an open mind. It is understanding that Honduran and Western culture are different, and not thinking that one is right and one is wrong.

The cost is $100 per person per day, which includes your room and board, transportation and excursions, but excludes your airfare.

Mornings are typically filled with staff devotionals and various teaching times on relevant topics of culture, education, etc. Afternoons are normally spent supporting and leading a variety of activities or games at our programs.
