Pilot Programs: Expanding our Reach

Our work grows in the most organic ways—one relationship at a time. One conversation with a local leader leads to a school visit, a school visit leads to meeting families—all of which expands our reach in ways we could never plan on paper.

That’s why pilot programs matter. They’re small, early steps that help us enter new neighborhoods, meet new families, and create spaces of safety and hope. In fact, our entire organization—which now serves more than 1,000 children and youth—started with one small pilot.

Pilot programs grow into vacation camps, which then expand into AfterSchool Programs. This evolution of a pilot to full-time annual support has a life-changing impact on the lives of children and youth. And from there, young leaders rise, children grow, and communities begin to heal.
